Multinationals on a wrong Economic Growth Ploicy

I respectfully disagree to the visionary Multinationals vision of Economic Growth. For many years we have seen Multinationals, Banks, Cooperate sector, Industries and Foreign funded organization working with the slogan of Economic Growth, Development and Training of new generation to help our economy grow.
They have failed and they will fail again and again, because (in my short sighted vision) they are not clear in their agenda and vision themselves. These groups of companies or organizations when recruit, they recruits from the cluster of elites, when they choose to give away internship, again their vision doesn’t go beyond LUMS, IBA and equally expensive institutes.
My humble unanswered question remains a question till day. I wonder if I will ever have a decent answer that would stop this process of thinking that pinches me all the time. Why LUMS or institute of same level. When we talk of economic growth why not give chance to young individuals who are talented, deprived, who come from humble back ground, whose parents sell themselves in order to give decent education to their bright child. Why these young middle class youngsters are not given a chance for jobs and internships?
I am sorry I am not against LUMS or its students, but just think, families who can afford to spend 1.8m in LUMS, how come their contacts, stature in society, resources and family wealth will not ensure a secure future for their children. Why to choose already elites and privileged of the society in the name of Economic Growth?
Fine………… these elite kids too have a right for these jobs and internships. But at least wake up to the fact that these elite young individuals, who drive their own personnel cars, wearing branded clothes, carrying expensive mobile phones and dining at exuberant restaurants do not need jobs and internships as needed by middle class boy or girl needs.
Why can’t we at least do this that we give interns to youngsters from both elite and middle class families? But pay only the one’s coming from middle class so that along with training and experience, the individual is able to support his or her family as well.
But why should we think like that. We would rather boast after few years about giving chance to young individuals of having internships, without realizing that 75% of them will end up going abroad after training, or end up securing a job at a nice comfy office by family’s contacts. No one will ever know what impact it has on actual ECONOMIC GROWTH.
I wish the vision was that after 5-6 years of internships, let’s say 200 individuals from humble families are trained to join good companies, banks and multinationals to compete the elites. But…………………… as I said I have a short sighted vision and my voice will never be heard. Hence the middle class will finally sink in the quick sand of Economic Growth and the lower class will be clutched to death in the tentacles of poverty elevation drama.

  1. Waqas Ahmed Says:

Masters of these NGO’s have clear vision, if read Jhon Perkins book Confessions of Economic Hitman, you will certainly get the answers, what missions they have, and how they work

Baqi reh gaya Banking Sector, I must admit, we do need to go through the history, there are dozens of books written on the subject, but mysteriously western media, as well as our own So called free media, never dare to touch these real players… Isn’t it strange, that our fucking media, goes inside the 7th layer, if it is connected to our domestic issues, but always remains silent about role of IMF, world bank, and so called NGO’s

Jim Marrs, Webster Tarpley, Alex Jones, Ron Paul and there are many other people who are exposing these mafia but our media never dares to listen to them… I simply dont understand…
