Have you heard about the term “Lingua Franca”? Before proceeding to the actual proposition, it is desirable to explain as to what the term “Lingua Franca” stands for. Lingua Franca, originally a French term, means a common language that is understood and spoken by a group, community or a nation that comprises the people from different regional and lingual backgrounds. Pakistan, A Sleeping Superpower

Pakistan—Friday, June 12, 2009 – Way back in the 1960s Pakistan was truly on the move. The early Ayub years gave us the “Green Revolution” because of the construction and commissioning of dams such as Mangla and Tarbela. Barrages were erected all the way down to the Guddu near Hyderabad.
These dams and barrages gave birth to an efficient network of canals and small distributaries which in the sixties not only made Pakistan self-sufficient but surplus in agricultural products. Read more »

Date Collector !!! (short story)

A young man started off his journey, a real long one which promised fame and glories. A short while after he took his start, he was joined by another young man. Along the way on the same path of fame and glory they became friends. Friends so close that it seemed, that they were ONE.
They walked deserts and crossed rivers, together. Climbed mountains and crossed bridges together. Helped each other and laughed their way towards fame and glory.
Then came an oasis and one of them found few dates. He grabbed them greedily and started eating them up, one after another. The first young man, stood by his side and watched his young friend enjoying the dates. He feared if he would get sick, or get bored soon. But as always he watched more, than object or stop.
